Reconomy's Eurokey brand is to open a £20m, 138,000 sq ft plastic recycling facility in Corby, Northamptonshire. The company says it will be one of the UK's largest plants dedicated to recycling supermarket plastic, handling 38,000 tonnes a year at full capacity.
A 49-year-old man in Birmingham has been arrested for conspiracy to defraud and money laundering in connection with the unlawful sale of more than £2 million in packaging waste credits for exports suspected of never having taken place, according to the Environment Agency.
